In St. Petersburg, Russia, Boris Vishnevsky was set to run on this month’s election to take care of his seat inn the Legislative Meeting. Sadly, two “spoiler” candidates have joined the operating—each named Boris Vishnevsky and sporting related facial hair as the primary Vishnevsky. From Reuters:
The [Central Election Commission] rejected a criticism by Vishnevsky demanding that his rivals give their earlier names on the poll on the idea that the three candidates may very well be distinguished by their completely different center names, TASS information company reported.
Vishnevsky, a member of the liberal opposition Yabloko celebration who holds a seat in St Petersburg’s 50-seat Legislative Meeting, stated he thought the incident confirmed his opponents see him as a powerful contender.
“At every elections for a few years now we are saying that these had been the dirtiest and most dishonest elections ever, after which on the subsequent ones we repeat the identical phrase,” he stated.
