The Jewish Week studies:
Is the social work college at Hunter School coddling antisemitism, or is it a part of an establishment that is deeply dedicated to defending Jews from prejudice?
That query has come to the fore after a pro-Israel group filed a federal criticism alleging a “pervasively hostile campus local weather for Jewish college students” on the New York Metropolis college and its Silberman College of Social Work, specifically.
I’ve no private information of the state of affairs at Hunter School, however this isn’t reassuring:
A pupil chief advised The Jewish Week that whereas she would not really feel focused by overt antisemitism on campus, Jewish college students typically really feel uncomfortable sharing their opinions on Israel for concern of drawing backlash, and that, at occasions, anti-Israel rhetoric does veer into antisemitism.
