Police shot and killed a person suspected of attempting to carjack a car and pointing a handgun at a number of folks in Pacoima Sunday night time.
A number of 911 calls had been made simply after 10:30 p.m. reporting the suspected carjacking, the Los Angeles Police Division confirmed.
“In response to the 911 calls, the suspect tried to carjack a motorist right here on the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Van Nuys boulevards, along with pointing his handgun at a number of folks right here,” Los Angeles Police Division Sgt. Bruce Borihanh mentioned.
The suspect allegedly shot at responding officers, who returned fireplace, the Police Division said on its Twitter account.
