Firefighters have stopped the progress of a brush fireplace that broke out Monday evening within the Hollywood Hills close to an condo complicated within the space of Common Studios.
The Coyote fireplace burned about 1 acre of “medium to heavy brush” above a canine park close to the AVA Toluca Hills condo complicated off Barham Boulevard, the Los Angeles Hearth Division stated round 11 p.m.
It took 100 firefighters, assisted by helicopter water drops, 75 minutes to realize management of the blaze, authorities stated.
“Floor crews will proceed to work with [Los Angeles County Fire Department] hand crews into the early morning hours with hand instruments to attain additional management of the fireplace’s perimeter in rugged terrain,” the LAFD stated.
No accidents or construction harm have been reported, firefighters stated. No evacuations have been ordered.
The hearth didn’t threaten the condo complicated, Common Metropolis, Common Studios, the Hollywood signal or another close by landmarks or areas, firefighters stated.
