Two individuals had been killed when a single-engine airplane crashed within the northern New York Metropolis suburb of Westchester County Thursday night, CBS New York’s Dick Brennan reviews.
The only-engine airplane took off from John F. Kennedy Worldwide Airport at 4:58 p.m. heading for Cuyahoga Airport in Richmond Heights, Ohio, authorities mentioned.
Based on the FAA, the single-engine Beechcraft A36 was about mile away from Westchester County Airport in White Plains when the pilot reported engine issues, telling the tower he was low on oil strain.
Shortly afterwards, the tower misplaced radio contact with the airplane.
