Former Vice President Mike Pence’s political operation has poached Tim Chapman, a prime aide to former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, two Republican sources with information of the transfer confirmed.
Each Pence and Haley are contemplating White Home bids in 2024.
Chapman’s transfer to Pence’s staff was first reported by Politico.
Chapman, who had been serving as govt director for Haley’s PAC, Stand for America, will now transfer to Pence’s PAC, Advancing American Freedom.
“Tim Chapman is likely one of the brightest stars within the conservative motion, and we’re so thrilled he is becoming a member of the staff to advance the reason for American tradition, American alternative, and American management,” Pence stated in a press release to CBS Information.
“I’m grateful for my time working with Nikki Haley and her devoted staff,” Chapman stated in a press release. “Advancing American Freedom is likely one of the quickest rising and more and more influential conservative teams within the nation, and I’m thrilled to hitch the unbelievable staff that’s constructing AAF as a pacesetter for frequent sense conservative insurance policies that can assist restore America.”
Requested Thursday on Fox Information a couple of potential White Home bid, Haley appeared to point she’s inclined to run.
“We have to go in a brand new course,” she stated. “And might I be that chief? Sure, I believe I might be that chief.”
In a press release supplied Friday evening to CBS Information, Betsy Ankney, govt director of Stand For America, stated: “Tim Chapman is terrific and we’re comfortable he discovered a fantastic spot to proceed to advocate for conservative coverage concepts.”
