Roughly 200 kids who had been looking for asylum in the UK have gone lacking from resorts the place they had been being housed, Britain’s immigration minister advised members of Parliament on Tuesday. Robert Jenrick referred to as the scenario “extraordinarily regarding,” BBC Information reported.
Jenrick mentioned that out of 4,600 asylum-seeking kids who had arrived within the U.Ok. since 2021, 440 had gone lacking, however half had returned to their lodging. He mentioned the vast majority of the lacking kids are teenage boys from Albania, and that he had not seen proof that they’d been kidnapped.
Asylum-seekers who make it to the U.Ok. are sometimes housed in resorts whereas their asylum circumstances are processed. This will take many months.

Over the weekend, the British newspaper The Observer reported that dozens of youngsters had been kidnapped by gangs from a lodge housing asylum-seekers within the English coastal metropolis of Brighton. CBS Information can not independently confirm this report.
“Kids are actually being picked up from outdoors the constructing, disappearing and never being discovered. They’re being taken from the road by traffickers,” an unnamed whistleblower from an organization contracted by the British authorities advised The Observer.
Britain’s House Workplace mentioned that it was not true that kids had been being kidnapped, The Observer reported, and that they had been free to go away their lodging.
“It’s a complete dereliction of responsibility,” Cooper mentioned, “for the House Workplace to so badly fail to guard baby security or crack down on the harmful gangs placing them in horrible threat. Ministers should urgently put new safety preparations in place.”
