MOSCOW: The Kremlin mentioned Wednesday that if Western nations provide Ukraine with heavy tanks they are going to be destroyed on the battlefield, as Kyiv awaits a choice from Berlin on deliveries of Leopard 2 tanks.
“Technologically, it is a failed plan. That is an overestimation of the potential that this can add to the Ukrainian military,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed reporters.
“These tanks burn like all the remaining. They’re simply very costly.”
The Kremlin has supplied a wide range of responses to plans from Kyiv’s allies to help Ukrainian troops with the Leopard mannequin of tanks.
